Christmas in The Maze

For many Christmas symbolises a 'new begin' or 'new Life'; for many others a family gathering; a moment to contemplate or just a nice day out.
Soekershof; Private Mazes & Botanical Gardens in South Africa (http://soekershof.com) caters for all those people during a special Christmas Celebration this December 25.
The surprise program includes a special Christmas picnic (with a few of the best quality wines of Robertson) and starts at 11 AM in the morning (guests are expected 10 minutes for commencing time).
Number of guests restricted to a maximum of 30-35.
Price per person: R 150.00
Only pre-paid bookings (NO 'walk in' guests).
Ideal for family- and group-outings.

Soekershof is located in Klaas Voogds West, 10 km East of Robertson along the R60 (R62) towards Montagu and a 2 hours easy Christmas drive from central Cape Town. For people who want to overnight in the region: the 'useful links' section of Soekershof's website lists all accommodation nearby in different price classes and all with a consistent good quality in hygiene and hospitality.

About Soekershof:
The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science" - Albert Einstein

Soekershof; Private Mazes & Gardens in South Africa is in the first place what a garden should be; a place of calmness, relaxation and contemplation. This unique place in Klaas Voogds West, 10 kilometres East of Robertson in the Western Cape, is not designated for mass tourism but for people who can enjoy Life in a slow pace.

Don’t expect the banter of restaurants, coffee corners, craft shops but a 'Down-to-Earth' experience ‘Pure from the Heart’. And people who think that a garden and a maze visit is boring have never been at Soekershof. It's hugely entertaining with local folklore, flower tasting and other unexpected surprises. The average well prepared visitor stays 3 to 4 hours and the owners don't mind if you take your own picnic with you. In short: Soekershof is the breeding place of the South African cactus trade (cactus pioneer Marthinus Malherbe and his wife are buried in one the the gardens) and the succulent gardens houses the largest outdoor succulent plant collection (around 2500 different species from all continents) in South Africa and all plants, including the ones in the own nursery, are organically cultivated without the use of chemicals.

The Klaas Voogds Maze (over 4 km of pathways) distinghuises itself by visualised local folklore; as orientating beacons towering above the hedges and invites you continuously to find the next story and even to make up your own. And yes you have to find the artifacts of a cycling Dutchman and a womanising German. You leave with a smile in your heart and a souvenir in your pocket.

Soekershof is an ideal venue for family outings, group outings, horticultural/botanical educationals, garden clubs, photo & film shooting, school outings, teambuilding, night adventures, weddings, active functions, etc. The website http://soekershof.com provides you with detailed information including precise road directions, times, admission fees and accommodation in the area with a consistent good quality in their own market segment. Soekershof's nursery website http://soekershof.wordpress.com contains guidelines for the own nursery customers of soekershof and other succulent lovers around the globe.

South Africa can be proud!

soekershof, cruise missile, Mazes around the world, Mary D. Lankford, Karen Dugan, Harper. publisher, South Africa, proud

The country is mentioned in a positive way in a book about Mazes and Labyrinths. “Mazes around the world” is written by Mary D. Lankford (illustrations: Karen Dugan) and designated for educational purposes.
The publisher is HarperCollins in the USA

The author is from Austin, Texas and our first contact dates back a few years. Two of the thirtytwo pages are dedicated to the Klaas Voogds Maze of Soekershof in Robertson, Western Cape, South Africa where at the moment strange things are happening such as the creation of extraordinary objects as wire trees and a ‘cruise missile’.

Mary D. Lankford is also engaged in a future publication about umbrellas. And guess what: The Soekershof Umbrellas will be in it.

No ‘copycat stuff’ but original design as is everything we try to initiate.

Africa talent ideas

I have to keep this short, as most of my blog postings and energy go into my Music and Enterainment booking agencies blog, but what better to start off my relationship with AfroPreneur than to wish it all the luck for the future, with the hope that this continent will shrink closer together.

The sharing of idea's and resources, the pooling of talent, and gathering of passion is what is required to get Africa to the forefront of the world's mind. This is the African century, and it's only us, us African's, who can make it happen for ourselves!

It is Africa's turn to shine!

Lpc Global Wireless Vs Wireless Rep

business opportunity, income, residual, wireless, lpc global

New on the scene is LPC Global sporting there new package of wireless cell phone and communication products, currently to be marketed via network marketing.

Over the next few months to a year, we can expect to see a number of companies jumping on the bandwagon to offer wireless cell phone users the opportunity to earn a percentage of the over 11 billion dollars per month in subscriber fees that are currently being pocketed by service providers.

These opportunities will surely cause a quandary to those that are unfamiliar with the world of network marketing and how to set themselves up to earn a substantial income. Although this explosion in the wireless industry is sure to make alot of seasoned mlmer's and network marketers millionaires, it will also cause the average person, just looking to get good service and inexpensive wireless cell phone provisions alot of confusion in trying to determine what service is best for them.

Do you have a cell phone??? Do you know anyone that has a cell phone??? I am sure that most of us, have and use our cell phones on a daily basis and we are paying monthly subscription fees, just as we pay our utility bills. So, the questions for average users are who will provide me with the best plan, while still providing a quality service? Who will allow me to have unlimited calling features? Who will provide me with economical international calls and FREE Text messaging? How about, incentives for paying my bill on-time, free gifts or even top of the line phones as an incentive to loyal customers. As a subscriber it's time to tell the providers what you need.

Currently, I have had the opportunity to look at two different companies, and in an attempt to not bend one way or the other, I would like to say that in carefully researching this newest wireless company, LPC Global it is clear to see that time will provide the best plans to the average person looking for the best services and I expect that there will soon be other companies joining this new marketing stream.

Why DREAM.network.REALISE?

September 6, 2008 by Martin   comments (1)

realise, network, dream, introduction, afropreneur

This is because we believe that these are essential steps to a entrepreneur's journey. They have been explained below:

Dream

It can be argued that this is the first step to any entrepreneurs journey, it aligns with vision and imagination. Dreaming BIG, is the right way to do it. This is a very important step as it also helps to determine which direction you want to go, creating a basis for a formulation of a plan. As the Cheshire cat said to Alice who was lost in a wonderland fantasy, it does not matter which road you take if you do not know where you are going.

You have to realise that all who have accumulated great fortunes, did a certain amount of dreaming, hoping, wishing, desiring and planning before realising. Remember that patience, tolerance and an open mind essential for the entrepreneur of today.

Network

Regardless of what type of business you are building , a strong network will be one of your most valuable assets. As the founder of Def Jam, Russell Simmons put it, 'your network is your networth.'

Realise

The hope, faith, hard work and determination in getting to this point is what drives an entrepreneur. I for one believe that it is not about the ending, rather it is about the journey!

Remember there is no such possibility as something for nothing. If your plan failed, replace it with another one. Failure is not permanent, it is temporary! Temporary defeat just means something is wrong with your plan.

Stay Positive in Negative Situations

August 23, 2008 by Kagiso   comments (0)

situation, stay positive

Here are 15 tips:

1. Never respond when you are not calm. If you are not sure that you are calm, don’t respond. Take time to calm yourself down first.

2. Take a deep breath as a first step to calm yourself down.

3. Speak in gentle tone to reduce the tension of the situation.

4. Realize that you can find opportunities in negative situations. Albert Einstein said: “In the middle of every difficulty lies opportunity.”

5. Look at the content of what people say to you for something positive that you can act upon to improve yourself. Don’t just reject the whole messages.

6. For the rest of the messages which is negative, simply ignore it.

7. Maintain positive view of the people. Maybe you don’t like their messages or behavior, but that doesn’t mean that you can hate them personally.

8. Realize that having negative feelings will just hurt you, not them. So there is no reason for you to have any negative feeling.

9. If you make mistakes, be open to admit it.

10. If you make mistakes, remember this quote by George Bernard Shaw: “A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing.

11. If you can, listen to motivational audio program to feed positive thoughts into your mind.

12. Talk to a positive friend who can encourage you.

13. Remember your favorite quotes to give you inspiration and motivation. This is one reason why you should have quote of the day.

14. Look at the negative situations as your training sessions for real life. The higher you climb in life, the worse the negative situations would be, so you’d better be prepared for them.

15. Realize that you can’t please everyone. In fact, nobody can. Sometimes you need to just let some people go. Realizing this will relieve you from a lot of unnecessary burden so that you can focus on the people that you can positively interact with.
